Our home is your home and your safety is our priority

As we enter our new normal we are committed to ensuring that your stay is as comfortable and heartfelt as before with new added measures and steps to ensure your continued health and safety.

We look forward to you making the Oceans Echo space your own. You are safe with us.

This is what we are doing (in compliance with government regulations) to ensure your safety and security during your time with us.

We always appreciate your feedback and like to think of our Oceans Echo guests as family, if anything is unclear or you have questions around these new safety protocols please talk to us. We welcome the conversation.

For  you, our guests this is what we are doing

Educating staff (ongoing) on what the virus is; where the disease outbreak began; ways in which it is transmitted; symptoms to look out for; and daily measures to prevent contamination and spread of viruses in personal, operational and guest spaces.

Staff hand sanitisers (alcohol based) have been rolled out in back of house areas such as, laundry and staff bathrooms.

Guest hand sanitisers (alcohol based) are placed in easy reach for  guests in all bathrooms and the kitchen and entrance/exit area of the house.

Personal hygiene reminders for when out and about – is being reiterated, including the importance of washing hands frequently and thoroughly; avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth; practicing respiratory hygiene (sneezing and coughing into a tissue that is safely discarded or the crook of the elbow), and avoiding touching one’s face;

Cleaning  the house  - guests have the option of a full time cleaner (weekdays only excl weekends and public holidays) at no extra charge. Our staff are efficient and fastidious cleaners. We use AirSan foggers and Air sanitising – ( Cyberchem products are tested in accordance with SABS 1615 – 1995, the above organisms achieved a 99.9% kill within 5 minutes) sprays after each guest departure and prior to arrival.

The house – Prior to arrival the open plan areas of  house will be fogged with Cyberchem AirSan foggers – this will disinfect the air and all surfaces, including couches, curtains.. and hard to reach places. All rooms and bathrooms are alcohol sanitised with Cyberchem AirSan and High grade cleaning disinfectants.

The NICD Hotline is available to all staff and guests.

In the event that anyone feels ill after travelling from countries with coronavirus, the South African Department of Health advises first phoning the National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD) helpline rather than going straight to a medical facility, to prevent potential contamination.

Travellers who develop symptoms of respiratory illness (cough, fever and shortness of breath) after travel to countries where the Coronavirus is prevalent, must seek medical care early and share their travel history with their healthcare providers.

The NICD hotline number is 080 002 9999.
